Privacy Policy
This explains what Kozrin collects, why, and how you can see or remove it. We've tried to write this the way we'd actually explain it to you, not as dense legal filler.
1. What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Account info — email, and name/profile picture if you sign in with Google | To create and secure your account, and identify you in the app |
| Conversations — your messages and Kozrin's replies | To run the chat, show your history, and improve the product |
| Memory — specific facts Kozrin saves about you during conversation | So future conversations don't start from zero. Fully visible and editable by you in Settings |
| Uploaded files | So Kozrin can read and work with what you share |
| Connected service tokens — Discord, GitHub, Railway, Cloudflare, Spotify, if you connect them | To act on those platforms on your behalf, with the permissions you grant |
| Usage & billing data — token usage, plan, payment status | To enforce plan limits and handle billing (payment details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us) |
| Basic device/log data — IP address, browser, timestamps | Security, abuse prevention, debugging |
2. How we use it
Primarily, to run Kozrin: holding a conversation with you, remembering what you've told it to remember, carrying out actions you ask it to take on a connected service, and enforcing usage limits for your plan. We also use it to maintain and improve the product, and to keep the service secure.
Your messages may be sent to the AI model provider that powers Kozrin's responses in order to generate a reply. We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
3. Connected services
If you connect Discord, GitHub, Railway, Cloudflare, or Spotify, we store an access token that lets Kozrin take the actions you ask it to take on your behalf within the permissions you granted during that connection. We only use that access when you're actively asking Kozrin to do something involving that service. You can revoke access at any time from Settings, which removes the stored token.
4. Memory, specifically
Kozrin's memory feature is designed to be transparent: anything it has saved about you is visible in Settings, where you can edit or delete individual memories, or clear everything. Memory isn't used for anything beyond personalizing your own conversations with Kozrin.
5. Sharing
We don't sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers who help us run Kozrin (hosting, the AI model provider, payment processing) — bound to use your data only to provide that service.
- Connected platforms (Discord, GitHub, Railway, Cloudflare, Spotify), only for the specific actions you ask Kozrin to take through that connection.
- Law enforcement or regulators, if legally required.
6. Your controls
From Settings, you can: view and edit your saved memories, disconnect any connected service, export or delete your conversation history, and delete your account entirely. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our systems, aside from what we're legally required to retain (such as billing records).
7. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, so Kozrin keeps working the way you'd expect. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records (like billing history) for legal or accounting reasons.
8. Security
We use standard security practices — encrypted connections, access controls, and credential storage — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep yours safe and will let you know if something affecting you goes wrong.
9. Children
Kozrin isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone below the minimum age required to use the service where they live. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Kozrin changes. For a material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know before it takes effect.
11. Contact
Questions about your data, or want to exercise any of the controls above directly? Reach out through the contact details available in the app, or to the email you used to sign up. See also our Terms of Service.
